Deer and car accident injures two from Long Lane
A collision with a deer sent man and woman from Long Lane to the hospital on Thursday night. According to the Highway Patrol, 52-year-old Melissa Eagleburger was driving a 4900 International when she hit a deer, lost control, ran off the road and ran into the ditch. Eagleburger and her passenger 56-year-old Mark Eagleburger were both injured and were taken to Cox South in Springfield for treatment. Neither occupants of the vehicle were wearing a seatbelt. The wreck happened on Route H about 4 miles north of Charity.
