The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash near Dixon killing two people and injuring four passengers. The crash occurred Tuesday morning around 3:30 when a Ford Pickup truck, driven by 18-year-old Nash Maddox of Dixon ran off of the left side of Highway 133, 4 miles west of Dixon, hit a tree and caught fire. Maddox died in the accident along with a 16-year-old unnamed juvenile. Injured in the accident were 17-year-old Cassandra R. Silliman, 18-year-old Donnie J. Koch, and 2 juveniles age 16 and 13 all of Dixon. All the injured were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. Troopers said No one was wearing a seatbelt.

A passenger in a pickup truck was killed in a crash on I-44 in Laclede County at 6:00 last night (Tuesday) when the truck driven by a yet unknown driver ran off the left side of the highway and into the guardrail. 40-year-old Michael J. Bois of Weatherby Lake Missouri was pronounced dead at the scene by Laclede County Coroner, Steve Murrell.

State transportation officials say 415 people have been killed in Missouri traffic crashes in 2020, and 71 percent of them were not wearing a seat belt.
