Missouri residents, businesses, and organizations who are looking for help with their agricultural business, can apply for a Value Added Agriculture Grant. Applications will be considered for expenses related to the creation, development, and operation of a value-added agricultural business, but cannot be used for a start-up business. The grant can be used for marketing studies and plans, feasibility studies, business plans, operational consulting, and legal assistance. The idea of the grant is to add value to Missouri agricultural products and aid the economy of a rural community. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis and are funded twice a year, in January and July. To be considered for January 2021 funding, applications must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. October 1st, 2020, which is this Thursday. applications can be submitted through [email protected]. The maximum grant to any person, groups of individuals, businesses, or organizations related to a value-added rural agricultural business concept is $200-thousand-dollars.
