Dallas Co Road Closed this week

Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will be working in Dallas County on Route U this week, requiring the road to be closed at certain locations. Today(monday) and Tuesday Route U will be closed between Route D and Judges Branch Road east of Urbana. On Wednesday, Route U will be closed between Judges Branch Road and Freedom Road east of Urbana. On Thursday and Friday, Route U will be closed between Howard Chapel Road and Pony Drive east of Louisburg. The closures will take place between 8am and 3pm each day, while MoDOT crews replace drain pipes underneath the road. The road will be open at night. Drivers will not be able to travel through the work zone during the day and are urged to find alternate routes. According to MODOT, electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule.
