Crews will close the westbound exit ramp at the intersection of U.S. Route 54, Route W, Business 54, and Osage Hills Road at Lake of the Ozarks Thursday evening. Work crews will begin paving the westbound ramp and the ramp will remain closed until around 6 Friday morning. Motorists will need to use an alternate route around the closure. Construction began on the interchange in February of last year and is scheduled to be complete later this year. According to MoDOT, the new interchange is designed to increase traffic safety and improve traffic flow in an area where numerous traffic accidents have occurred at the lake. The project also involves building several new connecting roads and three roundabouts. The paving will occur Thursday night, weather permitting.
