Cox Hospital in Springfield has a new ICU for Covid-19 patients

(Springfield)–Cox Health Springfield in southwest Missouri has a new intensive care unit just for COVID-19 patients. CEO Steve Edwards says the 51-bed unit will help to fight the increasing number of cases the Springfield area is getting.

Edwards says having the COVID-19 patients in one area of the hospital will also help to save personal protective gear.
