COVID Liability Bill Signed into Law
The governor says the COVID liability bill he signed into law this week protects more than 200 Missouri businesses that retooled their operations during the pandemic to produce personal protective equipment like masks and gowns. Governor Mike Parson made the bill his top priority this session:
The governor says the bill prevents frivolous lawsuits. The bill limits liability for COVID exposure unless the person engaged in recklessness or willful misconduct. COVID liability was also the top priority for the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and other business groups.
