COVID Continues Climb in County

The latest numbers from the Laclede County Health Department report that 40 new laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID 19 reported Wednesday. Those numbers bring the total number of positive Covid 19 since the pandemic’s beginning to 5,033, with 388 currently being monitored in Laclede County. 25 of the new cases are assumed to be community spread, and 2 were not showing symptoms at the time of diagnosis. 27 of the newly diagnosed were unvaccinated, and the other 13 have received both doses of the vaccine.

According to the Health Department, 110 people in Laclede County have died from complications related to coronavirus. Everyone is reminded if you have symptoms, including a cough, sore throat, or a fever, contact your doctor and stay away from others. If you experience difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately.
