COVID-19 continues to spread

Laclede County Health Department reported today that they have the 8th case of COVID-19. Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker says, this brings the overall total to 8 cases to date; five currently being monitored, and three recovered. She says, the newest case is experiencing mild symptoms of the illness, and is a close household contact of a previously reported Laclede County case. Baker says they are working with this individual to ensure they are following the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines regarding quarantine and isolation. Baker says, caution is a must to combat this virus, wear a mask, gloves, and social distancing, and clean all surfaces when bringing things into the house or business.
