Covid 19 continues to pose health risk

The Laclede County Health Department has released the latest numbers of positive Covid-19 cases for July 9th. Of the 52 cases reported on Friday, 34 cases are assumed community spread, with the other 18 being close contact or household contact to a positive case. Of the 52 cases, 2 were totally vaccinated and 2 had one dose of the vaccine. 45 of the diagnosed cases of COVID 19 were not vaccinated. The total of positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic now sits at 39-hundred-12 in Laclede County. The Health Department reminds everyone that as the illness continues to spread any public activity should be considered an exposure risk and you should take precautions to protect yourself. If you are feeling unwell stay home, and if you experience shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, and a high fever, isolate yourself from others and seek medical treatment. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 76 people have died in Laclede County due to complications related to Covid-19.
