Cost of Service Study request denied by Lebanon City Council

Public Works staff made a request to Lebanon City Council to employ a consultant for a cost of service study for Electric, Water and Waste Water. Public Works Director Richard Shockley submitted the request for Toth and Associates to update the cost of service study, but Councilwoman Sheila Mitchell wasn’t on board….

The Water service study was released in 2021 and the wastewater department is operating on a study that was done in 2019. The request for the cost of service studies added up to $38-thousand-500. The request was denied by City Council with a vote of 4 in favor and 1 against. In Lebanon, in order to pass an ordinance it takes 5 members of council to vote yes.
