A man from Conway was sentenced this week to 25 years in prison for trafficking in methamphetamine and 7 years for resisting arrest. Those sentences will run concurrently; 26-year-old Carl W. Dill the II was arrested after a chase and crash in Lawrence County on June 18th of 2019. He was found guilty of the charges during a jury trial in April and sentenced by Judge David Cole to prison.

The driver of the vehicle, 32-year-old Douglas S. Ward Jr. of Jefferson City, pleaded guilty in May 2020 and was sentenced to 15 years with the execution of the sentence suspended. 30-year-old Tara L. Ivey of Conway pleaded guilty May 11 in a deal calling for a 10-year suspended term.

Dill the II is also facing numerous charges in Laclede County on unrelated charges.
