First Snow Fall Contest

First Significant Snow of Winter

When will Laclede County and Pulaski County receive a significant snow fall that exceeds 3 inches? KJEL 103.7 and KFBD 97.9 are asking our listeners to give us their best guess of the date and time the snow will accumulate to 3 inches. The person with the closest guess will win significant prizes. Registration is through December 31, 2019.

Registration can be done on this page. Be sure to put your name, phone number, the day your think the snow will accumulate to 3 inches or more and the exact time. You may also enter via fax to 417-588-4191or 573-336-2222 or mail to KJEL, PO Box 1112, Lebanon, MO 65536 or KFBD, PO Box D, Waynesville, MO 65583.. You may also drop off your entry at the KJEL or KFBD Studios.

If there is not a significant snowfall of 3 inches by March 1, 2020, a random drawing will be held and prizes will be awarded to one winner in Laclede and one winner in Pulaski County.

Contest rules are as follows:

Unless otherwise stated, you must be at least 18 years of age to participate in contests on stations KJEL-FM, KBNN-AM, KIIK-AM, KFBD-FM, KJPW-AM and KOZQ-FM. If you win a prize with a value of $30.00 or more or if you win multiple prizes that when combined have a value of $30.00 (thirty dollars) or more, in a 30 day period, you must wait 30 days before participating in contests again. If you win a prize with a value of over $100.00 (one hundred dollars) you must wait for 60 days before you can play again. There can be only one winner per month in your immediate household. Members of all area radio stations, employees of these radio stations and their immediate families and our contest sponsors and their families cannot participate. To claim prizing, unless otherwise instructed, the actual winner must come to the radio station with proper identification. Prizes are not mailed. Prizes not picked up within 60 days of the date won will be forfeited. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash and have no cash value that can be assigned or transferred.

In case we have two or more submissions of the same date and exact time of the snow accumulating to 3 inches and that is the actual winning date and time, the winner will be determined by the earliest submission. Multiple entries are allowed. You cannot submit for another individual. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Snow will be measured at the KJEL Studio in Lebanon and the KFBD Studio in St. Robert to determine the official “Time and Date” of 3 inches of snow accumulating.
