Committee Discusses Drought Conditions In State

Drought is affecting portions of all corners of the state, especially Missouri’s farmlands. The latest meeting of the state’s drought assessment committee was held Friday in Jefferson City. Jennifer Hoggatt, deputy director of the Missouri Geological Survey, says drought conditions have already hit our state’s farmers.

Hoggatt says increasing dryness is affecting northern Missouri and persistent dry conditions continue in the southwest part of our state.
