Coleman Appears For Preliminary Hearing

During a Preliminary Hearing yesterday, Laclede County Associate Circuit Judge Larry Winfrey found probable cause that a felony occurred in the death of a Lebanon toddler. Angela C. Coleman of Lebanon has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. The child, Mason Sadler, had Autism and
was under the care of Coleman when he slipped out of the home and ended up drowning in a pond off of Oak Bend Drive in Laclede County on August 29th of this year.

Court documents show that Coleman had told police she had gone upstairs to go to the bathroom. However, video surveillance in the home showed that the children were alone for nearly an hour.

The case will now move forward for arraignment in Circuit Court.
