City of Lebanon was presented with an Electric Reliability of Service award

3 presentations were made during the Monday night Lebanon City Council meeting. Director of the Southern Missouri Chapter of the Red Cross, Stacy Burks made a presentation to the City and the Police Department, and the Fire Department for their participation in the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive.

The Police Department was honored as the winner of the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive with 30 more donations in the name of the Police Department over the Fire Department. Chief Schneider in his service to the American Red Cross has not only been a supporter through the Blood Drive but also served on the now-disbanded Lebanon Red Cross Advisory Board for several years.

The City of Lebanon was presented with an Electric Reliability of Service award by Connie Ford with the National and Missouri Public Utility Alliance. Ford said that Lebanon has an over 99 percent average of reliability, and the majority of the outages that did occur were because of wildlife and storms.

According to Ford, the average interruption of service duration was 40 minutes in Lebanon.
