When there is a widespread emergency event communication between public works personnel can be essential to the safety of staff and the public. On Thursday night, Lebanon City Council heard from I.T. Director Jarrad Schomaker about a proposal to purchase radios for Public Works. He said the current radio system they have is out of date. Schomaker said they first inquired about the MoSwin system, the request was denied….

He said they are working on a study to determine where to place repeaters and antennas for a new system. The cost of such a project is unknown at this time.
