City Council takes first step to 2040 planning

Lebanon City Council was asked to consider an agreement with Olsson Studio to develop a comprehensive plan for the City of Lebanon, to include market and data analysis, during Monday night’s meeting. From May 2023 to May 2024 Olsson and Associates will be engaging members of the community through virtual and in person open houses, outreach and marketing, giving residents an opportunity to share their concerns. When it came time for City Council members to vote, City Councilwoman Sheila Mitchell voted against the ordinance approving the agreement.

With the final vote from the rest of the City Council in favor of the agreement, the ordinance passed. The agreement will cost the City around $125-thousand-dollars.

In other business, Council approved the purchase of 2 trucks from Graven Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. One vehicle is for the Police Department and the other is for the Fire Department at a total cost $97,524.
