Sunrise Beach Fire to Christen new apparatus

The Sunrise Beach Fire Department wants to invite the public out to a special event. Starting Friday, October 6th the Fire Department will be having a Christening Ceremony for a new boat that the department got. Fire Chief Joseph LaPlant says that they bought the boat in April.

LaPlant says the boat will be named in honor of John Suellentrop

LaPlant says the Fire Department got the boat at a pretty good cost, and the boat is going to help the department cover a lot more miles

The ceremony will be on Friday, October 6th at 3:00 at the Shawnee Bend access dock.
