Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is designated as child abuse prevention month. Child abuse is something that unfortunately happens quite often but is very preventable as long as we can learn about it and respond to it. Sadly child abuse can lead to deaths, or even injuries. Cara Gerdiman with Kids Harbor says that it is very important that community members get involved in trying to prevent child abuse, and they have programs for adults to help them learn more about preventing it.

You never want to to let your child keep things inside, so it is a great idea to make sure your checking on them and asking them how they are.
