Check those smoke detectors!!

As we prepare for daylight savings time, we will be changing the time on our clocks to an hour earlier, at 2am Sunday morning. At the same time, Fire Departments are reminding residents this is a good time for annual maintenance on your smoke detectors. Lebanon City Fire Chief Sam Schneider says you should change the battery or test your smoke detector…..

If you live in the city of Lebanon, and don’t have working smoke detectors, you can contact the City Fire Department at 532-2104. Fire personnel will schedule an appointment to install free smoke detectors in your home. If you live outside the city, the Red Cross will install free smoke alarms for anyone who needs them. Anyone in need can sign up by visiting www.getasmokealarm.org or by contacting their local American Red Cross office.
