Charges Leveled Against Waynesville Woman Who Led Deputies on Chase Thursday

Pulaski County Associate Circuit Judge Mike Headrick on Friday issued a warrant for Lea Ann Barba of Waynesville.
The warrant charges Barba with special victim assault in the second degree, armed criminal action, special victim assault in the third degree, resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing-creating a substantial risk of serious injury or death to a person, and two counts of property damage in the first degree.
Bond in the case has been set at 500-thousand dollars cash or surety. Lea Ann Barba remains in the Pulaski County Jail in Waynesville in lieu of bond.
Barba allegedly led Sheriff’s deputies on a brief motor vehicle chase early Thursday morning on Hartford Road, striking two deputies and deputy vehicles before being apprehended and taken into custody.
