A three-car crash in Wright county has left two injured and one dead. Around 12:45 p.m. Saturday morning, 21-year-old Mansfield resident Kody Skaggs was driving a 2007 GMC Sierra southbound on business route 60 just south of U.S. 60 in Mansfield when he crossed the center of the roadway causing the pickup to slide off the left side of the road hitting another vehicle. That vehicle was a 2020 Ford F-150 which was parked roadside, and in that pickup were two people. The driver was 39-year-old Hartville resident Michael Bryson, and the passenger was 31-year-old Hartville resident Justin Sanders. Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Craig- Hurtt funeral home. Mercy EMS transported Bryson to Cox South. Skaggs was not wearing his safety device, but Bryson and Sanders were.

The Wright County prosecutor has formally charged 21-year-old Kody Skaggs with DWI resulting in death and DWI resulting in serious injuries.
According to Wright County Sheriff Sonny Byerley, Skaggs is being held in the Wright County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond with special conditions.
