A Chesterfield man is facing multiple charges after a near-drowning incident at the 7.4-mile mark at Lake of the Ozarks on July 3rd. According to the report, Jason Richard Federer was intoxicated and had been kicked out of Shady Gators, and decided to go for a swim. When Highway Patrol Marine Officers arrived, Federer was in the water and struggling to keep his head above water. When the officer’s got him out of the water and into the patrol boat, Federer began to resist. When he told the troopers he was going to hurl and they assisted him to the side of the boat, he attempted to jump into the water while still in handcuffs. Federer also reportedly bit one of the Troopers and attempted to bite an EMT who was transporting him to the hospital. Federer is charged with 4 counts of assault and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $25-thousand cash or surety.
