A love triangle has resulted in violence at a home in Buffalo. Buffalo Police responded to a call in the 200 block of North Maple Street on December 19th to a reported shooting. At the scene, a 24 year old woman told police that her husband, 88 year old Willard Davis, had shot her ex-boyfriend, while they were sleeping in an upstairs bedroom. The woman said that she slept upstairs in the same bed as the victim, and her husband slept downstairs. She said she woke to the sound of a gunshot and Davis was standing over them with a gun in his hand. She said he pointed the gun at her but she grabbed the gun and wrestled it away from Davis. The 31 year old victim was transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the face. Davis was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation. He has now been charged with assault in the first degree, armed criminal action, and domestic assault.
