Charges Filed In Pulaski County Following Last Thursday’s Ramming Incident
We now know the name of the man suspected of ramming a Pulaski County Sheriffs Deputy’s car last Thursday.
Authorities say 33-year-old Justin Gentry of Laquey has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault, first-degree assault-special victim, resisting arrest, and two counts of first-degree property damage.
According to court documents, county deputies responded to a well-being call regarding a dispute between a man and a woman on the Devil’s Elbow bridge on Z-highway on Thursday. However, the couple had left the scene in separate cars.
A Pulaski County deputy subsequently spotted one of the cars on Highway Z in St. Robert. He then chased the driver, Justin Gentry, and at one point, Gentry put his car in reverse and allegedly rammed the front of the patrol car.
Investigators say that after the ramming incident, Gentry took off and got onto Interstate-44. Authorities in Phelps County were able to track down Gentry later and arrest him.
The suspect is being held in the Pulaski County Jail in Waynesville on a $50,000 bond.
