Change of venue granted for accused drug trafficker

A Springfield man who is charged with drug trafficking in Laclede County has been granted a change of venue for his trial. 43 year old Chance Lynn Tabor was arrested in June 2022 following an investigation during a traffic stop on Elm Street by a trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. During the stop the trooper seized baggies that contained more than 2 ounces of methamphetamine. During a hearing last week, Tabor was granted a change of venue to Camden County and is scheduled for trial beginning July 10th, 2023. Tabor is also charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography and is scheduled to stand trial on those charges at the same time in Camden County.
