Change of venue for Camdenton man accused of 2nd degree murder
The trial of a Camdenton man who is accused of causing the death of another by injecting him with illegal drugs has been moved to Laclede County. 23-year-old Timothy Cole Evans was arrested following an investigation into the death of a man in late February 2021. Authorities believe that Evans injected the victim in the neck with methamphetamine and with Fentanyl causing him to die from an overdose. The man’s body was left inside a garage at his home in Montreal. Evans allegedly stole the victim’s truck and dumped it in the woods behind Walmart. Evans is charged with second-degree murder, delivery of a controlled substance, and tampering. No hearing date has been set in Laclede County at this time.
