CBCO Donors take Donations Further

The Community Blood Center of The Ozarks was able to distribute over $7,000 worth of checks to 10 local charities because of their donors. These gifts were made possible through the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks LifePoints Lift program. With each blood donation, CBCO rewards its donors with points redeemable through an online store. Michelle Teter, Media Relations Representative for CBCO, explains how the process works.

The grand total of the donations was $7,219, with, as Teter said, the most money going to Ozarks Food Harvest Food Bank, receiving $2,836. Other organizations who received donations include Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter, the Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks, Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, CASA of Southwest Missouri, the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Care to Learn, and the American Cancer Society.
