Capital Improvements planned for Bennett Spring State Park

While many are preparing for opening day of Trout Season at Bennett Spring State Park, there are several things that are going to be happening behind the scenes all summer long. Hatchery Manager Ben Havens tells us that there are capital projects that are taking place this year. He said currently there is dirt work underway as the park makes improvements to the water supply for the park. He said there are also improvements taking place at the hatchery….

Some of the infrastructure at Bennett Spring State Park has been in place for about 60 years, and they are glad to get the improvements underway. He said some of the larger projects will take a couple of years. He said that the improvements won’t impact fishing at Bennett Spring.
