Candidate filings so far this filing period for city offices in Pulaski County in the April election have been very light. In Richland, the only candidate who has filed for municipal office so far has been Joshua Wonder for Ward 2 council member. Crocker also has only one city-wide candidate–Jim Patton for Ward 1 council. In Dixon, Leslie Hansman has filed for Municipal Judge and Diane Shultz has filed for Ward 3 council member. Waynesville has a greater number to date of city-wide candidates. Bill Farnham has filed election for Ward 1 council member, Clarence Liberty has filed for re-election for Ward 2 council member, and Sean Wilson has filed for election for Ward 3 council member. In Ward 4, two candidates have filed–Mike France, the incumbent council members, and challenger, Amanda Koran. There have been no new filings for city offices in St. Robert. Incumbent Mayor George Lauritson is unopposed currently for re-election as mayor. Ward 1 alderman Susan Davidson has filed for re-election. She will be opposed by Charles V. Slider, Junior, and by Glen Askeland. Alderman Reginald Hall has filed for re-election in Ward 2, Alderman Walter W. Reese has filed for re-election in Ward 3, and Alderman John C. Moore has filed for re-election in Ward 4.
Tuesday, January 19th, is the final day for candidates to file for office in the April elections.
