Camping in the Winter grows in popularity

A new study from Outdoorsy shows that Missouri is 20th among the best states for warm winter camping, and the number of campers has increased significantly over the last 18 months. Even as temperatures cool down, Sand Springs Resort owner and outfitter Jack Glendenning says reservations are strong.

Glendenning said privacy is one reason many people prefer off-season or winter camping

Glendenning said that those who enjoy floating will be able to see a different landscape than floating in the spring and summer.
