Camdenton talks about marijuana

Recreational Marijuana discussion is on the agenda for the Camdenton Board of Aldermen tomorrow(tues). With the passage of the state law, cities now have the option to make some decisions related to the sales and use of Cannabis, and according to City Administrator Jeff Hooker, they have some decisions to make..

As part of the discussion, Hooker said Camdenton Aldermen need to decide if they want to put a 3 percent tax on the ballot. Hooker said this is just the beginning of the discussion and no official decisions will be made at Tuesday’s meeting. Amendment 3 which allows people 21 and older to purchase marijuana at a dispensary without a medical marijuana card, goes into effect on Thursday, December 8th.
