The Camdenton Board of Aldermen approved an agreement with Laclede Electric Cooperative which will allow the Co-Op to continue as the supplier of electricity to the city. Camdenton City Administrator Jeff Hooker tells Regional Radio News that the prior agreement expired in 2016 but they have continued to operate under that agreement. As part of the agreement, the ordinance states that Laclede Electric will pay the city 5 percent of the aggregate each month, which will in turn go back to Laclede Electric to pay for street lights.
