Camdenton purchases land for future airport needs

The Camdenton Board of Alderman approved the purchase of property adjacent to the airport during Tuesday night’s meeting. City Administrator Jeff Hooker said the purchase will allow for future growth at the airport . The 3 acres known as 193 Forbes Road was purchased with grant funds totaling $290-thousand.

He said the extra acreage could allow them to build more hangers….

A Fixed Base Operator handles the day to day operations of the airport, but the City is responsible for mowing and maintenance.
