Camdenton Man Sentenced For Bath Burns on Child

Circuit Judge Matthew Hamner sentenced a Camdenton man to 7 years in prison yesterday after 30-year old Samuel Isacc Webster pleaded guilty to Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. The charge stems from an incident where an infant was scalded in a bathtub. The investigation began in February after the child was treated for burns on February 14th at Lake Regional Health Center in Osage Beach. The burns were found on the child’s legs, buttocks, and abdomen. The child was later transferred to a burn unit at a Springfield Hospital.

Webster, who has a lengthy criminal record in both Laclede and Camden County, said the burn was from a combination of Aloe sun relief cream and diaper rash cream. Medical experts said the burns were consistent with non-accidental trauma. Webster also entered a guilty plea to a charge of Unlawful Possession Of A Firearm.
