Camdenton Man Faces Charges Following Fatal Crash

A Sunrise Beach man died in a one-car crash in Camden County on Friday afternoon. According to the Highway Patrol, the wreck happened on Route TT when a car driven by 26-year-old Brandon Broswell of Camdenton crossed the centerline, started to skid, and crossed the road again, then ran off the road and hit a tree. 36-year-old John Johnston of Sunrise Beach was fatally injured in the crash. Broswell was seriously injured. Neither man was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck. Broswell is facing charges of felony driving while intoxicated from drugs, resulting in the death of another, driving while revoked or suspended 2nd or 3rd offense, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash, and several other charges. Broswell is currently undergoing treatment for serious injuries at Lake Regional Health Center in Osage Beach.
