Camdenton man arrested for alleged assault

A 19-year-old from Camdenton is facing multiple charges after an alleged assault at a residence on Silver Mountain Drive on Monday. Camden County Deputies responded to the call just after 3 pm. The victim reported that she had driven the second victim to the residence to pick up some of her belongings. As the victim approached the door, 19 year old Lucas Cornwell allegedly began yelling and pushed her down. She reportedly pulled a knife on Cornwell and he reportedly ran back into the house, grabbed a club, and began chasing her around the yard. The witness said that Cornwell then went back inside and came out with a gun, pointed it at them, and told them to leave. They said that after that, Cornwell went back into the house for a minute, then came out and went to his car and left. Lucas Cornwell of Camdenton is charged with unlawful use of a weapon, 2 counts of harassment, and one count of assault. His bond was set at $50-thousand.
