Camdenton man accused of making threats to kill people

A Camdenton man who has a significant history of being charged with assault is now jailed without bond in the Camden County Jail. On Saturday, Camden County Deputies responded to Ozark Amphitheater on North Business 5 for a report of a man who was making threats to kill the caller, and that he had left in a vehicle. It was later reported that the man had attempted to run over the property owner as he was peeling out of the parking lot. As a Deputy was responding he spotted the suspect vehicle and made contact with the driver. The man identified as 60-year-old Richard Lawrence Stochl got out and was yelling at the officer. After he allegedly refused to get on the ground, a second deputy that was on the scene deployed a Taser. While they were waiting for EMS to arrive to check on the man, he made multiple threats to kill the deputies and continued to threaten them after EMS arrived. Stochl is charged with attempted assault, harassment, and resisting arrest. He is being held in the Camden County Jail without bond.
