A Sunrise Beach man is facing multiple charges in connection with a fire that damaged an apartment and the National Guard recruiting office on North Business 5 in Camdenton on October 30th. The State Fire Marshals Office was called to investigate the fire at 104 North Business 5 and it was determined the fire had been set with 3 different points of origin. The investigation also determined that multiple items, including guns, had been removed from the building, and were found on the roof and at the rear of the building. Authorities believe that 32-year-old Mark Stripling broke into the apartment through a window and then placed stolen items outside the window, while the apartment was burning. On Tuesday, a warrant was issued for Stripling’s arrest on charges of arson, burglary, and 3 counts of stealing a firearm.
