Camden County Murder Victim Identified, Suspect Held Without Bond

Prosecutors in Camden County have filed a murder charge against a man for a deadly shooting in Osage Beach on Sunday night.

20-year-old Fernando Hutchinson of Osage Beach faces murder and armed criminal action charges.
The victim has been identified as 22-year-old David C Davis of Eldon.

After further investigation, it is now known that Davis and 32-year-old Michael P Watwood of Kaiser
were sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of Jetz Trampoline Park located on Passover Rd
when another subject identified as Hutchinson, approached
their vehicle in what may have been an attempt to buy marijuana, as Hutchinson was at Davis’s vehicle he
reached in through the window and grabbed something and took off running in the direction of
Autumn Hills apartments located on Redbud Rd, Davis, and Watwood began to chase Hutchinson.

Watwood and Davis split up and Davis chased Hutchinson to the area of Kay Lynn Resort. Shots
were fired and Davis was struck in the chest.

A handgun was recovered in Hutchinson’s apartment when Officers served a search warrant there.
Hutchinson was arrested and transported to the Osage Beach Police Department and later transported to the Camden County Sheriffs Office, where he is being held without bond.
