Camden County Fire Destroys Mobile Home

The State Fire Marshall is investigating a fire that destroyed a mobile home in Montreal over the weekend.

The Mid-County Fire Protection District reports it was called to a structure fire on Titan Drive in Montreal on Friday night, just after 9 p.m. When crews arrived, they found a mobile home 50 percent involved in the fire. The center roof section had already collapsed.

Firefighters had the fire under control within about 30 minutes, although water had to be shuttled to the scene because there weren’t any fire hydrants in the area.

No one was home when the fire started, and no injuries were reported. All firefighters cleared the fire scene at approximately 12:50 AM Saturday.
