Camden County fatal accident report released

A man from Versailles died in a two-vehicle crash in Camden County on Wednesday night. Highway Patrol reports indicate Andrew W. McCarty was westbound at a speed too fast for conditions on Route M-M, a quarter-mile east of Henderson Drive when he failed to negotiate a curve. McCarty’s motorcycle overturned, crossed the center line, and struck a truck driven by 64-year-old Wesley E. Enlow, of Sunrise Beach. McCarty was pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital. Enlow was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash. This was Troop F’s 8th fatality of the month and 59th of the year.
