CAMDEN COUNTY ELECTION RESULTS (UNOFFICIAL) FOR TUESDAY
Camden County voters said yes on Tuesday to a new countywide sales tax of one-quarter of one percent. The tax will fund law enforcement services for the county, including providing funds for the sheriff’s department and law enforcement operating expenses. The funds could also be used for capital improvement projects, equipment, additional personnel, and personnel expenses. The tax revenue could also provide facilities for sheriff’s deputies, dispatch, and related emergency services. The unofficial margin of approval was 62 percent yes to 38 percent no. 2,987 ballots were cast in Camden County, for a turnout of just over 9 percent of registered voters.
