A personal watercraft traveling too close to another personal watercraft on Lake of the Ozarks sent a Clovis California man to Lake Regional Hospital with injuries Tuesday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports that a personal watercraft operated by 32-year old Ian M. Place of Colorado Springs, Colorado, traveled too close to a personal watercraft operated by 41-year old Derek A. Place of Clovis, California, causing Place to fall overboard and then being struck by the other watercraft. Derek Place suffered moderate injuries. The incident occurred at the 2 point 5 mile marker of the Grand Glaize Arm of the Lake.
