Busy night for Lebanon City Council
There will be a new urban park going in on Madison Street in Downtown Lebanon. On Monday night, Lebanon City Council voted to accept property donated by First State Community Bank. Lebanon City Administrator Mike Schumacher addressed Council about the project.
Additional information and design requests for the project will be brought before City Council at future meetings. In other business, the council approved side letter agreements with firefighters and electric workers to reflect the raises that were put in place earlier this month by the city. The agreement means that the unions won’t ask for an additional raise this year.
Kathy Millikin with the city human resources department presented a request asking to engage PayPoint HR to perform a salary compression study. Millikin said that the study would look at the current salaries of employees….
The cost of the study will be no more than $10-thousand. The bill passed with a vote of 6 to 2 with Council members Gib Adkins and Sheila Mitchell voting against the proposal.
In other business, the council approved a request to retain Worth Clark Realty for real estate broker services for the city. Council also approved the purchase of a Computer Voice Stress Analyzer and Annual Recertification Training for the police department at a cost of $6695.
Council approved Toth and Associates to perform a water rate study at a cost not to exceed $10,780. Council also approved Olsson Incorporated to perform the 5-year park master plan by Olsson Incorporated at a cost not to exceed $65-thousand.
