Busy night at Lebanon City Council
Lebanon City Council covered much ground during the Monday night City Council meeting. Council heard requests for purchases for waste treatment, city facilities, and public safety departments. Council approved the purchase and funding at 1.5% for the lease-purchase from U.S. Bank for a cost of $329,817 over 5 years. City Council approved a second purchase for the Fire Department. Chief Schneider requested to replace extrication tools and purchase of Electric Over Hydraulic Extrication Tools from Alex Air Apparatus Air Inc. at a cost of $18,971. In other business, City Council approved the purchase of new lights for the Civic Center Theater at a cost of $64-thousand-500-dollars, and they approved the purchase of street lights from Harry Cooper Supply at a cost of $50,481. Several of the lights will be installed in the Cowan Civic Center parking lot. Council approved the purchase of circuit breakers for substations 3 and 6 at a cost of $46,076 Council approved a Wastewater Pump Rebuild by Independent Electric for the Wastewater Department at a cost of $22-thousand-894. Council approved requests to approve the final plat of property at Hayes and Madison, Tick Acres, and Livingston Subdivision, during Monday nights meeting. They also approved the second reading to rezone a property on Ostrich Lane and approved the first reading to rezone Breeze Valley Subdivision from C1 Commercial to CL Limited Commercial.
