A burglary was reported at a building in the 300 block of East Elm on Monday. The business owner told the responding Officers that he opened the front door of the building and noticed items on the floor and realized the business had been rummaged through. He said he heard a noise in the back and noticed that a hole had been cut in the wall. During the investigation, the officer determined that the hole had been cut some time ago, and then covered up. Officers went to a nearby residence that was known for stealing and criminal activity, but didn’t make an arrest. The investigation is continuing.

Lebanon Police are investigating a burglary that took place in the 500 block of Locust Street last Friday. The homeowner told police that he left his home for a short time that morning, and when he got home, he discovered that someone had been inside. The investigating officer found footprints in the snow that led to the back door, and then to the storage shed in the back yard. The footprints then went to the back fence and where the suspect allegedly went over it. Several items were reported stolen from the residence including jewelry, a checkbook, a tool bag and prescription medication. The approximate value of the stolen property is just under $17-hundred-dollars.
