Buffalo Police Chief Resigns

Chris Twitchel has resigned as the chief of police in the Buffalo Missouri Police Department, effective March 23rd. He has held this position since April 2021. Following an internal investigation, the city’s board of aldermen placed Twitchel on paid administrative leave on January 9. City leaders did not disclose any further details about the investigation, except that it did not involve any other officers. The city’s mayor, Brandon Kenall, plans to appoint an interim chief to lead the department.
