Buckhorn Man Dies In I-44 Accident

A 52-year old Buckhorn man was killed in a single-vehicle accident at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that an S.U.V driven by Johnny Curtis ran off Interstate 44, between Buckhorn and Saint Robert near the 156-mile marker, and crashed into a highway sign, hit an embankment, and overturned, throwing Curtis from the vehicle. Curtis died at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital; he was not wearing a seat belt.
